Tired of hourly billing? Discover the benefits of project-based pricing

Since most people hiring a private investigator don’t have experience doing that, “how much will this cost” is a pretty common question. This post seeks to provide some answers to that.

Red Keith primarily uses project-based pricing.

Before you sign a contract, and before we start work, you’ll typically know a flat fee that will cover the entire cost of your investigation. We don’t bill for mileage and we don’t bill extra for most typical expenses.

There won’t be any billing surprises.

  • What is a Limited License Legal Technician?

What is a Limited License Legal Technician?

Washington has a cool profession called the Limited License Legal Technician.

Think of them as a paralegal on steroids, with a bunch of extra family law education, and that’s basically a LLLT.

They can give you legal advice.

They can help navigate family law issues like divorce. They are a more affordable option than an attorney in many cases, because they don’t need to pay off six figures of law school debt.

The main thing they can’t do, which an attorney can, is represent you in court.

But for people doing some or all of their divorce pro se, or representing themselves, a LLLT can be a good option to get questions answered, and to get legal advice specific to your problem.

  • If you need help with gangstalking

It’s not uncommon for people who are experiencing gangstalking to reach out to private investigators. They often feel like the police won’t help them, and other people in their lives have also been unhelpful.

People experiencing gangstalking often have proof that various people in their life are stalking or harassing them, but are having a difficult time piecing together the connections, and understanding why this is happening to them.

And those are very common experiences for these people. Maybe an old partner is harassing you, and so is someone from work, and maybe your health insurance is in on it too. You just don’t know why.

  • Why we don’t do infidelity investigations

Why we don’t do infidelity investigations

The primary reason we don’t investigate infidelity cases is because, based on our experience in Washington, it doesn’t help you much in court.

Now please don’t take legal advice from us (or any private investigator). Ask your family law lawyer or LLLT, “hey will hard proof of my partner’s infidelity help in terms of spousal support or child support?”

In our experience the answer is generally no. And as a result we don’t feel good about taking your money to provide a service that generally isn’t useful in court.
